The Founder

Oluwajimi's approach to fashion extends beyond aesthetics, aiming to uplift marginalized voices and foster cultural pride through his work. His achievements, from the Alara Emerge Award to nominations for prestigious accolades like The Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy Prize, affirm his influence and dedication to creating change in fashion. Faith Oluwajimi is a precocious, award-winning, self-taught designer, creative director, and artist whose journey has been marked by remarkable achievements and a growing influence in the global fashion landscape.
Oluwajimi’s creative work also extends beyond the runway. He collaborated with renowned fashion photographer Richard Kovacs, creating images for Kovacs’ graduate show at the London College of Fashion, which won first prize at the exhibition. These collaborations reflect Oluwajimi’s interdisciplinary approach, blending fashion with art to craft compelling visual narratives. In 2020, Oluwajimi's contributions to the fashion industry were acknowledged when he was nominated for The Future Awards Africa Prize for Fashion. This recognition highlighted his growing influence, not just in Nigeria but across the African continent.

Founded in 2015 by Faith Oluwajimi, BLOKE is a fashion label that challenges traditional boundaries by blending contemporary design with artisanal craftsmanship and cultural exploration. Oluwajimi, a self-taught designer and creative director, has rooted BLOKE in values of inclusivity, ethical production, and avant-garde artistry.
Each BLOKE piece is meticulously crafted, combining bold, experimental knitwear with a unique sensibility inspired by the vibrant influences of Nigerian culture. By merging traditional African techniques with innovative, forward thinking silhouettes, BLOKE redefines fashion as a medium for personal storytelling and creative expression. The brand provides a fresh perspective on sustainable fashion, ensuring that every design carries meaning and cultural significance. BLOKE is more than a brand; it’s a movement that champions authenticity, diversity, and the future of luxury with purpose.

Continuing to push boundaries, he designed a collaborative collection with the Italian label VITELLI, which was showcased at Milan Fashion Week, a significant milestone that marked his introduction to the European fashion scene. His solo debut with BLOKE’s AW21 collection at Milan Fashion Week further cemented his place as a designer to watch on the international stage. Oluwajimi’s work has also been the subject of academic study. A 46-page MSc Strategic Fashion Management thesis by Cloe Durieux at the London College of Fashion focused on his work at BLOKE, showcasing how his innovative designs are contributing to broader conversations in fashion. In 2023, Oluwajimi was nominated for the prestigious Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy Prize, recognizing his visionary approach to design. That same year, BLOKE made its debut at Portugal Fashion Week with the AW23 collection and was part of a Paris Fashion Week Showroom Presentation for the SS24 collection, sponsored by Afrexim Bank and Creative Africa Nexus. Oluwajimi’s accolades continued as his Black Tax AW23 collection was nominated for the Trends Prize at the Kyoto Global Design Awards 2023, a prestigious recognition that underscores his global appeal and innovative design ethos. His achievements have also been recognized by the United Kingdom, where he received the Global Talent Visa Endorsement for Fashion Design in December 2022. In addition, his participation in the United States International Visitor Leadership Programme in 2021 highlights his growing role as an ambassador for African fashion on the world stage.
